We are raising purple graduates who are global leaders.
In raising these people of royalty and prestige, we want to show them how to seek out Godly opportunities with passion and create room for others to achieve.
We are a purple University. In the military, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, purple refers to a programme or assignments that are joint. These assignments are not confined to a single unit like the Army, the Navy or the Airforce; but a joint operation involving the entire defence.
People do not get promoted to flag ranks like Rear Admiral and above except they have been involved in one or more of such joint “Billets.” Officers in such joint billets wear purple. Our world is waiting for these purple leaders who combine intellect, integrity, character and competence for global exploits.
These are the global leaders that Salem University (SU) is out to raise.
